I feel like these photos will be my keepsake to help me remember how tiny you were, how fun this day was, how loved my little family is and how badly I wanted to be a mom, and give Hudson a sibling despite all the struggles, the curvy roads, the tears, disappointment, devastation, sadness & uncertainties. These photos are my forever reminder of how truly lucky & blessed I am. 📸💕 @annephoto @ottawamakeupartists @laubarto
My little 🌎captured beautifully. @annephoto so much 💕for this. On a side note I have a newfound appreciation for newborn photographers. Naomi Campbell is a Saint in comparison to diva babies. They work the camera when they are good and ready, take multiple naps on set, cry and throw tantrums, get seriously milk drunk and poop themselves just because they can. Some serious shade these babies like to throw at you guys. Huge respect ✊
Harriet 🌺Two Weeks & Two Days Old Today. Knowing that this is most likely our last babe and understanding how quickly these moments come & go. I am trying to just ignore the exhaustion, sorer than sore nipples, milk stained shirts and the fact that I haven’t showered in 48 hours and just be in the moment, savour it all if you will because these truly are such precious and fleeting moments. Thank you @annephoto for giving me the nudge I needed to leave my house and just do this and for capturing my family so beautifully and to @ottawamakeupartists @laubarto. I walked into that studio feeling like a 1 and you brought me to a 10.
A little tabletop inspiration for you this Monday. We have a ton of admiration and 😍for @simplybeautifuldecor. She has curated a gorgeous collection & has an incredible eye for detail which shines through on everything she touches. This image was featured on @weddingsparrow 📷 by @andrewmarkphoto and features @plumecalligraphy @shaw_events @foreverwildfield We ❤️ this photo a whole lot as it demonstrates just how beautifully a small detail, like our Verona Chargers can create such an incredible impact on your tabletop decor.
Looking back on 2018. This year was all about finding balance and ensuring that with a full time 9-5 & a growing family that we could still do what we love and be a member of an industry we are so honoured to be part of without fear of burning out or neglecting our incredible clients and family. There’s no secret sauce and it is still a work in progress. But this year we revelled in referring clients on to other wedding vendors we trust & admire. We shifted our focus to our inventory “hello pretty chargers & glassware” and worked with the most gifted and talented planners in the city (how lucky are we) Do we miss day of setups and client meetings...absolutely, but truthfully acknowledging and living by the words “I can’t do it all” has been incredibly freeing. 2018 you were smashing, here’s to an equally great 2019.
Genevieve & Jason’s stunning wedding designed & planned by the wonderful @frid.events and captured beautifully by @aliandbatoulphotography Our Verona chargers graced so many tables-capes this past wedding season. Gorgeously hand made in Italy and probably our most versatile piece. A real gem that adds so very much to your table. On a side note this whole vacation time before the arrival of our little one is pure heaven. I missed out on that nesting period with my first due to illness and it’s been so nice to check off do lists, have a little me time, plus my ironing pile is at an all time low! Quick question for you Mama’s out there of 2 or more! How did you prepare your first for the new arrival. I love that I am getting lots of mommy & Hudson time in and we talk a lot about the baby but not totally sure how this will all go. He is the centre of our world and that’s all he knows. Hoping (praying) for a smooth adjustment.
