#YetiFlash gets sideways with Daniel Self today. 📸 from Tom Prier. Helping fund this young guns EWS lifestyle while he lives all our dream jobs.
Two days of racing Six stages Two countries 96.5 km, 2,732 meters of climbing and 5,026 meters of descending And countless crashes. 🔥 This EWS round devoured the best riders in the world – breaking thumbs, spraining ankles, causing flesh wounds and sending asses over ends. It was, as promised one of the most challenging tracks to date in the history of the series. 🍖 Richie would end the weekend with a 21st place finish. Shawn Neer also got up close and personal with the track a number of times, but got it across the finish line to take 28th. ✊🏻 A gnarly crash took Jubal Davis out before he could even cross the start line – a disappointment for the first-year EWS racer. U21 phenom and boy wonder, Duncan Nason took a nasty spill on day one and had to pull for day 2. Not the outcome anyone wanted, but as we have said before and we imagine we’ll say again – that’s racing. The team now looks ahead to La Thuile, Italy July 21 – 22. 🙌🏻 Kiwi rider Daniel Self came home in 29th place to hold onto 8th overall in the whole series. Heal up all & keep it rubber side down for round 5.
This weeks #YetiFlash is set at Mt Grey, North Canterbury with Harriet pretending it’s not Winter. #RideFaster stay warm. 📸 Fiona Murray 📸
