Our LPT Team members are now all safely ensconced in their own home offices!! Andrea, Ellie, Anita and Bev continue to take calls from our wig recipients, their families or medical teams... Mila, Adele, Nicky and Rose are on the end of the phones and email to answer any questions from our awesome Supporters... Lin is managing our corporate partners and fulfilling our home office needs... Katie the Incredible, along with Phil W, have made the technology work (and continue to do so 🤞)!! Morris, H and the Marketing team are making sure our website is on fleek and our socials are shining... Liz is fitting wigs, virtually... Our legendary logistics team of Andy, Spence, Lucie, and Tracie are ensuring that our wigs are dispatched... Nadine is beavering away in Accounts... Wendy is managing our childhood cancer research projects... And Phil is keeping the well-oiled LPT machine moving! Although many of them have some four-legged friends for company, they're a sociable bunch and they want to hear from YOU! So please keep sending us your news and we'll share it on social media - we want to see photos of your amazing hair and how long it's growing, tell us about your crazy, virtual fundraising efforts and send us photos of your hair donation parcels (prizes for the most creative!). Thank you so much for your continued support 💜 #StaySafeStayHome #StayAtHomeChallenge #HairAndHope
We cannot do what we do without the incredible support of our loyal supporters. This is Holly, Rosey & Daisy Mcdermott, 17 year old triplets and almost qualified hairdressers. Also known as @tripletstrainingtough. The sisters recently ran the Hampton Court Half Marathon on Sunday 23rd of February. They described the experience as amazing. They said this: “We received such amazing support from the community, and so worth it for such a good cause. We will definitely be running and raising money next year again, and will be looking at doing a few more runs this year. The local community loved our t-shirts, we were known as 'the butterflies' the whole way round the course. Thank you, girls!
Incredible things happen when we work together! That's exactly what we'll be doing when we run together in the Bath Half next week. Prepared for greatness!! Raising money to provide children and young people with beautiful, real hair wigs and to support groundbreaking childhood cancer research projects. 💜 🙏 #LPTBathHalf @bathhalf
It's #CharityTuesday and we're still full of excitement after our fantastic day at James 'Slim' Seager's Captain's Lunch on Saturday at Ledbury Rugby Football Club (@ledburyrfc1). It was an amazing day, featuring a live hair donation from Jay Smith - the 16 year-old hooker who'd never had a hair cut before! Thanks to Megan on scissors, we came away with Jay's long luscious locks and a phenomenal amount of fundraising which is still coming in. We were blown away by the support from the club, who are also corporate partners to the charity. The sense of community from everyone was truly heart-warming; and seeing the 1st team in their LPT strips made our hearts swell! Thank you to the Ledbury Women's team for showing us how drills should be done 😉 and to the U10s - an amazing bunch of talented young rugby players with very bright futures ahead of them! A huge thank you to everyone who donated to the LPT pot - with Jay's haircut, the raffle, collections pots and cheques, we are well over the £3,000 mark; an amazing achievement enabling us to provide beautiful real hair wigs to the children and young people who need them, and to continue our funding of research into finding kinder treatments for children's cancers. 💜
