SMA’s 150th Birthday Community Picnic is just 6 weeks away. Join us to celebrate the Academy’s 150 year legacy of learning, faith, service and leadership. . In addition to a wide selection of food vendors, we’ll have games, entertainment and lots of information about our history (did you know SMA educated boys in the early days, or that it was once a public school?). We hope to see you there! #sma150

On Sunday a contingent of Grades 10 and 11 students along with teachers Mrs. O’Leary and Mr. Villa travelled to Huisissilapa, El Salvador. This group is part of our Senior Years Extended Service Experience and they will be working on various projects in the community, including improvements to the local school. The people of Huisissilapa work hard to keep all of their community members, especially their youth, healthy and engaged. 🇸🇻 In addition to working in the community, our team will take part in Masses and do some sightseeing. Mr. Villa sent photos of the group’s first two days, and he reported that no one fell in while touring the Botanical Gardens! 🇸🇻 SMA has been involved with this community for a number of years and we are blessed to be able to continue to serve these wonderful people. Our thoughts and prayers are with our students, teachers and the people of Huisissilapa.
