“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you.” - Maya Angelou
Good Morning! I'm looking forward to three 1-2-1 coaching calls, including one with a client who needs help with managing a difficult client situation and one who has decided to make a start on plans for a new service launch she's been thinking about for almost a year. I can't wait!
YOU ARE AWESOME ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's true. You are and sometimes we need someone to remind us of that! . There's so much negativity and bad vibes that can consume us sometimes. We can lose sight of why we're doing what we're doing and when we're feeling overwhelmed and snowed under, we can start to doubt that we're actually any good at it! . I've been encouraging my clients to take a moment each day to take a good long look in the mirror and to speak out loud to themselves (I know it might sound and feel a little strange, but trust me, it will help you no end!). Talk to yourself in the way you would talk to a good friend about how they look, what they do well and why you value them. Tell yourself those things. . I've spoken about this over on my Facebook page quite a lot and I've received so many inbox messages, texts, and emails from people telling me that it's really struck a chord with them. I have a fabulous business coach and it’s something she has encouraged me to do at times when I have doubts and need to refocus my energies. No matter how successful we are we all have times when we have doubts and the negative self-talk kicks in. Don’t let it win. Have a word with yourself and make it a positive word! . . 📷 @msmeganwilson @ticketybooevents
Something’s wrong with this picture. . Can you tell what it is? . I believe that an important aspect of good self care is to set and maintain clear boundaries. With how and where you spend your time and even what you wear when you’re working. This is especially important when your place of work is in your home. . Hence my ‘No Slippers’ Rule. . My slippers are the sign that I’m home from work and it’s time to relax. Keeping them out of my office is my way of trying to maintain a healthy boundary between my work and my home. . Obviously I don’t wear a suit for work every day and definitely not when I’m working in my home office....but you get my drift. . 📷 @msmeganwilson
