Last night’s sunset was one of those that just kept getting better!!
It was a different Daffy for sure, but thankful for good weather, long walks, sunshine, friends and exercise!! Oh and the flowers!! Thanks to the lady on Madaket road, who invited anyone to come and pick daffodils from her garden. It has definitely brightened my living room! It sure is the little things these days!
Gorgeous skies over the south shore beaches today! Long walks and fresh air have been helping to ward off the quarantine blues and put a little pep back in our step. Hope you got some sunshine today, and if it’s grey where you are, then we’re sending you some!! ☀️ 🌞 ☀️
We start our ‘Sconset tours right here and walk across the bridge, always stopping to pick up a cookie from The ‘Sconset Market (I’m really missing those right about now!!) There are always a few gardens I love to stop at... Check out the last picture of @thisbjessd and @blueanchorphotography - some of my earliest tour guests turned friends (it helps we all like Millie’s margaritas ☺️). I’ve never seen Dinner Plate Hibiscus like these anywhere else!! Hope to see you girls this summer!
Happy Easter from Nantucket!!
I’ve had a couple blah days back to back. I know we’re all doing what we need to be doing, and that’s the main thing. We just cancelled my family’s June trip to the island and I’m bummed. I realize there are bigger fish to fry and much larger problems to fix. The trip will get rescheduled, but I love how much my nephews have come to love this little island. The eldest (who is almost 8) has already told his parents that after he graduates, he wants to “go live with Auntie Ella on Nantucket.” I’m missing their faces and sad I don’t have that to look forward to in a couple months time. But like I said, there are bigger problems, so I’m keeping perspective. Hope everyone’s hanging in!! ❤️🙏🌞
Thought I might’ve been posting epic pictures of a pink super moon tonight, but I got my directions all wrong and didn’t have the right lens, but Sankaty looked beautiful with this big patch of daffodils lit up in front! And the pink super moon was still beautiful. Mother Nature is still showing up! I obviously have #coronabrain 🤷♀️😬😆
Scenes from better days, but a reminder those better days are ahead too!! Stay home and stay well!
Proud of this little island community for staying home and making every effort to flatten the curve. With so many unknowns, these have been some tough weeks. Today, I’ve worked out, showered and got dressed and let me promise you, not all those things are happening daily! But we’re doing what it takes, right?! We’re still hopeful for an amazing 2020 season. It may look a little different, but I think once we’re all let out, it’s going to be pretty special. #stayhome #staysafe #staysane #staypostive
