As those who follow me know, my designs are predominantly inspired by the south-east coastal region of Victoria, Australia, specifically the area around Wilsons Prom. It is a beautiful region that has always spoken to my soul in ways I have found hard to explain, until now . It is also the lands of the First People. I have been remiss in acknowledging this publicly. I apologise for this, and want to rectify it now . I would like to acknowledge the people of the Boon Wurrung, Bunurong and Gunaikurnai, the traditional custodians of this land known as Wilsons Prom, Wamoon, Yiruk and Woomom . I also pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging of the Kulin nations, and I extend that respect to other indigenous people who are present here . I am going to do further research this year to educate myself about the cultural history of the lands that inspire me to create. I will share my learnings as I go, and hope we can work towards a more inclusive understanding of culture and land . Thank you to many in our online community who have raised their voices this week to call out racism and white privilege. We all need to stop, think, and act, and not leave the burden to POC #checkyourprivilege . *edited to amend reference to our First Peoples. There is no ownership. Thank you to my dear friend for a advising me of my error.

A quiet day on the couch with a new cast-on was the perfect way to spend Boxing Day . We had a wonderful Christmas but it does take it out of you just a bit, doesn't it?! How is everyone recovering?
