I sent out a contract this morning with a postcard featuring this beautiful pair. My first @trinitybuoywharf wedding, and total dream clients. Thank you to @lucius_fox_photos for the coolest of bridal portraits!
I feel the need to add my cake-making skills to my grid for posterity. Only those who bother reading the full caption will realise that I used a cake kit from the fab @craft_crumb. Is it cheating? Or is it winning at parenthood? I’ll go with the latter. We had such a lovely 1st birthday party at home for Charlie’s birthday yesterday. My balloon wall from @ecballoondesign is still standing proud and I’m feeling all the love for our friends and family. Looking forward to getting back to normal wedding service tomorrow though!
The wedding breakfast in action. A room full of conversation, laughter, clinks, camera snaps, great food, toasts, and of course, a whole lotta love. This one took place at @elmleynature, with food by @urbanpantryfood, flowers by @bloomingayles, photography by @rebeccadouglasphotography, paper chains by @laurareeddesign, drapes by @not_your_average_i_do, and planning & design by me.
I think we all need a shot of sunshine and flowers on this foul day, don’t we?! @mandjphotos were behind the lens at Annie & Neil’s spectacularly beautiful sunshiney-rainy day. Incredible florals by @joannetrubyfloraldesign ❤️
My littlest heartthrob is ONE today. And as cliched as it is, he really does light up our lives! Where Frank has been full of character and drama from the off (see second image for a direct first birthday comparison), Charlie is just sweetness and smiles. I was pretty scared about going from one baby to two, but he’s made it as easy as it possibly could be. Which is no mean feat with a threenage brother hell bent on wrestling with you approximately 75 times a day. Being totally open, I really wanted a girl with #2. I knew in my heart of hearts I was growing a boy; my pregnancy was exactly the same and my husband is one of three strapping menfolk. But I still secretly hoped. (Mainly for the clothes shopping, let’s be honest.) When he was born my first horrified words were something along the lines of “Did I just see balls?!”, to which my husband sheepishly replied, “Erm... yep”. But this little Frank double was placed in my arms and the love hit me like a train. It had taken me a few weeks to bond the first time around, but with Charlie it was instant. A year in and I feel so ridiculously proud, privileged (and pressured) to be raising two boys. I know that the truly crazy times are still to come (the fighting, oh god the fighting), but I just hope that they continue to love me when they’re 45 and hairy as fiercely as they do now. Happy First Birthday my precious boy. Bring on the Saturday celebrations 🥳
