Mowing around the 4,000 solar panels that were installed last year at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center was not going to be an easy feat. That was until we handed the job over to some four-legged friends. It is a win-win for us and this flock of 30 sheep. The sheep visit regularly to fill their bellies and nap in the shade of the solar panels and we get a nicely maintained field! Watch now to see our sheep friends hard at work.🐑 #carilionclinic
What a perfect fall evening for the Morningside Urban Farm harvest celebration. We enjoyed getting together with our community partners and some new friends to celebrate our first farming season! Thank you @JebBurtonRacing for partnering with our Community Health and Outreach team! Also, thanks to our farm leader from @GVHarvests for giving our special guests tours that showed all of the great progress we’ve made together. 🍁🌽🥗 #carilionclinic #community

Carilion Children's partnered with @gonumotion to provide these kids with Go Baby Go cars, designed for children who have medical conditions that limit their ability to get around easily on their own. We had so much fun watching these little ones trying out their new wheels. 🚗🚕🚙 #carilionchildrens
UPDATE: The Roanoke River has crested at 16 feet and the water has started to recede. Clean up has begun and Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital continues to operate normally. Thank you to all of our employees for your hard work during the storm and as we continue to clean up. 📷: Mark Gilbert.
This photo is of the front parking lot and the roads around Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The hospital is open and operating as always, but please use caution. The west entrance is closed due to the storm, so use the south entrance and the Emergency Department entrance if you need medical care. We will keep you updated should conditions change.
