Today marks the start of Volunteers’ Week. I have seen the tremendous work that goes on in Salford and beyond and would like to personally thank all the incredible volunteers who give up their time and work so hard to help others and make our city a better place #SpiritOfSalford

Today we celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity, an opportunity to promote the importance of cultural diversity and the significance this has for the richness of our communities. Diversity and inclusion are true forces for positive change and outcomes in our society. 
Yesterday, I went with Salford City Council’s regulatory services on visits in Monton including @vintage_ambiance. Thanks to officers for huge efforts over the past 18months, supporting businesses to trade safely. Was great to see people eating and drinking now businesses have reopened. And thank you @vintage_ambiance.

Salford’s hidden gem Ordsall Hall reopened today after being forced to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And the reopening marks the tenth anniversary of the restoration of Salford’s oldest building.
