There is a new expansion of “fake tech support scams” A window may pop up on your phone, IPAD or your computer screen offering you tech support for a virus or other urgent problem or you may even get a call indicating your computer or device has been compromised. This is a scam. Nothing is wrong with your computer. Customer Support never calls or sends pop up messages unless you call them first. If you get one of these messages, the best thing you can do is simply avoid it. • Click the little “x” in the top right hand corner and close it then go to your email and delete it. • Mark the email as scam and block the sender • Delete it and if appears delete it again • Do not open or respond • If they call and say they are from tech support just hang up.
