One year ago today, we were watching the skies, praying for God to make himself known. That’s all we wanted out of our wedding day - to honor and glorify Him. ⠀ ⠀ Little did we know that He’d answer that prayer in a way we never would’ve asked for, but a way that was so perfect, and so out of our hands. ⠀ ⠀ As we read our vows in the garden, the skies opened up. Little by little our guests took cover under the grove of trees nearby, with our bridal party getting soaked right beside us. ⠀ ⠀ The mics didn’t work because of the weather, so no one heard our vows but us, our pastor, and the Lord. ⠀ ⠀ It’s funny, but we both keep saying that we didn’t even notice the rain. It didn’t feel like anyone else was even there. It was just the two of us, making a commitment before God. One to honor and love and respect and cherish each other for the rest of our lives. One to be grateful every single day for the love He has brought into our lives through our marriage. ⠀ ⠀ And as our pastor pronounced us husband and wife for the first time, the sky cracked open with a burst of thunder. ⠀ ⠀ It stills gives us chills thinking about it. That moment is by far the best moment of our lives, and it’s one that will always leave us in awe and wonder of God’s glory and power. ⠀ ⠀ What an incredible first year this has been 💛 We are beyond grateful.
It’s kind of crazy that we JUST so happen to be in the same little island town that we started our business in... that this morning we decided to bike to the same library where our ideas were born + where we spent that first summer building our dreams.⠀ ⠀ When we parked our bikes at the library, we got a text from one of our best friends with this photo + a reminder of where we were just 3 years ago. ⠀ ⠀ Apparently, today marks our third official year in business, and it’s honestly wild to think about how far we’ve come and how much has changed.⠀ ⠀ We started our business knocking door to door + building websites for $500.⠀ ⠀ We worked in a ton of industries - helping everyone from froyo shops to jewelers to loan officers (until we finally found our jam with wedding pros + creatives 🙌🏼)⠀ ⠀ We learned almost everything we know from trial and error, testing, making a bagillion mistakes, and figuring it out along the way. ⠀ ⠀ We’ve changed our name 3 times (our original name was Quarter for Your Crisis!) + we’ve pivoted our services more times than we can count. ⠀ ⠀ And now after 3 years in business - we FINALLY feel like we’re doing exactly what we’re supposed to be: serving heart-centered wedding pros + creatives with smart marketing strategies.⠀ ⠀ So today, this post is for anyone who is still working it out, who is still dreaming, who is pushing through long nights to make it happen, who may struggle with doubt, fear, or self worth.⠀ ⠀ First, we want to say we’ve been there - and we’re STILL there. Entrepreneurship is HARD! We’re not perfect + we’re never going to stop growing and learning. Once we embraced that, it made this journey a whole lot more enjoyable!⠀ ⠀ Second, we want to encourage you. Great businesses don’t happen overnight. Your dreams will take WORK, but they WILL be worth it.⠀ ⠀ One thing that has helped us the MOST these past few years is finding a community of like-minded entrepreneurs to lift us up. If you need a little extra love or encouragement today, send us a message. We‘d SO love to be a part of that community for you!⠀ ⠀ Now it’s your turn: what has your own entrepreneurial journey looked like? Anyone else feel like it’s a crazy ride?!
It’s kind of crazy to think about much has changed in our lives in just one year…⠀ ⠀ In just the past 12 months, we’ve:⠀ 💍 Said “I do” in the pouring rain⠀ 🚌 Became full-time RVers⠀ 🗺 Drove back and forth across the country 4 times⠀ 🙏🏽 helped launch a prayer app⠀ 💇🏻♂️ Pete got a lot of hairs cut⠀ 🙌🏼 niched our business + hit our first 5 figure month⠀ ⛷ froze our pipes and got 30 days on the mountain⠀ 💻 hosted our first digital marketing summit⠀ 🇨🇦 Spent a whole month in Canada exploring with friends⠀ 🌿 worked with the MOST incredible clients all across the country⠀ ⠀ But the greatest part of it all?⠀ ⠀ Getting to spend every day building this life and business TOGETHER.⠀ ⠀ And as we come up on our one-year anniversary, we just can’t help but be SO stinking grateful. Thank you Lord, for this life, this business, and these dreams that are bigger than we ever could’ve imagined! 💛
Apparently, we like making major life decisions in the pouring rain.⠀ ⠀ It’s crazy that almost exactly one year after getting soaked while saying “I do,” here we are - standing in this crazy rain buying our first home together! 🤗⠀ ⠀ To say we’re excited is an understatement. Cannot wait to make this place our own! ⠀ ⠀ More details to come, but for now - say hello to our new RV! (+ send us all of your name suggestions!) 🚌💛⠀ ⠀ ps - swipe to see our first kiss and you’ll see what we mean about the rain! 😍😂
Our idea of adventure is very broad: It’s been everything from working in the corporate world & living in New York City to backpacking South & Central America to adopting a loud german shepherd pup to building our own business and getting married in the pouring rain.⠀ ⠀ And as excited as we are for our next chapter of adventure (more details coming soon!) we can’t help but look back on the most recent one: The Road To More 🛣⠀ ⠀ For all of those who didn’t already know, we planned a trip to Banff this past month with two full time Rvers we met this past year on the road.⠀ ⠀ We’d met up with @follow_your_detour a few times on our travels, but we’d only met @roamingremodelers once before this epic trip (+ it’s the day we planned the epic trip!)⠀ ⠀ And as excited as we were to see a new place, we were more drawn to the idea of exploring it with some people who we wanted to share the memories with.⠀ ⠀ Our whole heart behind “The Road to More” was celebrating the community we’ve found on the road and the adventure that inevitably follows.⠀ ⠀ Because we were able to experience all of this beauty with @follow_your_detour & @roamingremodelers, Banff will always hold a special place in our heart. And not just because of the pristine lakes, snowy mountains and wild grizzlies but because of the moments in between.⠀ ⠀ Like playing hookey on work and watching the world cup outside the camper or a trip to the E.R. (Dan is recovering fine) or getting bit a thousand times during the infamous “McDanwhich” breakfast or escaping a slightly terrifying Escape Room together.⠀ ⠀ It’s these things, with these incredible people that keep us going. ⠀ ⠀ We’re blessed to have such a sweet memory locked down with guys - now we just need to start planning the Road to More, Part Two! 🚌🌎 ⠀ ⠀ ps - if you haven’t already seen it, check out the epic video @campingworld put together of our trip. Jordan may or may not have cried. Link is in our bio!
