Update on my first solo trip out of the US: I loved it! I had such a great time exploring new places & cities on my own, making new friends, & making last minute decisions to do whatever: like take a scenic flight of the Himalayas! Ah, what a cool experience seeing the tallest mountains in the world. I almost forgot that Mount Everest is a natural wonder of the world and I got to see it over this trip too! 😂Whoop! Checking all the bucket list locations off on this trip! Natural & man made wonders. 🙌🏻 ••• I wanna know: what’s your favorite natural wonder of the world or which one do you want to see next? I have no idea which one I’ll see next, but I think I’d most like to see Victoria Falls next.
I was invited to come on this trip to India with my friend, Jen. We stayed with her wonderful friends, we went sightseeing, and I got to photograph women being empowered by other women. It was amazing to witness all the joy and love in this country of beautiful people. I hope to come back sooner than later & do it all over again. As I write this, I’m off to Nepal now, where I’ll be adventuring on my first solo trip out of country. Excited & slightly nervous all at once. ••• Also, see 3rd picture for the OG baby mamma. So cute.
My time in India sure did fly by. But I thoroughly enjoyed seeing another wonder of the world on this trip. Only 3 left to see after Petra this summer: Chichen Itza Christ the Redeemer The Great Wall (which I’ll see someday after the Corona virus passes 😜) Which ones have you seen? Or which one do you want to see next?
One year ago: ☀️Honeymoon session on the beach in Hawaii. Today: ❄️Total exact opposite! Skied down a mountain in -5° feel like temps.
New Year, new post!⠀ How has your first full week of 2020 been? After we celebrated the new year with some friends and family, Daniel went to enjoy his last hunt of the season and I took off to visit my family in Colorado with my sis & her boyfriend, & Nitrous! I sure do enjoy spending time up here near the mountains! Skiing day tomorrow & then we head back home Sunday! Swipe to see where we went yesterday & how much fun Nitrous has had. 😅 ••• What have you been up to this year so far? ⠀
Since I shared about how 2019 was for my last year, I figured I'd bounce back a little further and share some big moments & memories that have happened last DECADE! Still kind of can't believe it's 2020 (even though I've been writing it on contracts for a while now...haha)!⠀ •••⠀ Since 2010...⠀ I graduated from UNT⠀ Daniel proposed ⠀ We got married⠀ Moved to Lewisville ⠀ Bought a house⠀ We both bought our first brand new cars ⠀ Acquired our sweet Black Lab, Nitrous who's now 4!⠀ Daniel got his first degree, soon to be second from UNT⠀ Daniel took his first & second trip out of North America...as for me, I've now hit 6 continents & 21 countries.⠀ I've maintained a successful business with an amazing team. 🎉⠀ We couldn't have done all these things if it weren't for the Lord guiding our path & our friends and family supporting us. ♥️
Twirling into the new year like... • Looking back at the year (and decade) has me feeling so thankful for what I've accomplished, where I've been, & what it took to get where I am now. Even through the hardships. • In 2019 I... Saw some great bands in concert like Coin & Bad Suns Took my mom on her dream vacay to Hawaii Hired Rachel to work alongside me & created an associate photography brand. We had some of the best ever weddings and the sweetest couples to work with. Photographed awesome couples on the beach in Hawaii & San Diego to the mountains in Colorado! Started a new business, created new things (coming soon, hopefully), and hosted a workshop with Allison. Went on my first & second helicopter rides/scenic tours seeing the beauty God created on this earth. Got to check off another continent & Had the best time road tripping through New Zealand! Finally enjoyed the Reunion Tower as a guest vs. photographing there haha! Had a fun day exploring San Fran with my sis, Audrey Bought a drone and named it Maxine that I'm co-parenting with Allison. Went on many walks with Julia & Umka - Nitrous' favorite days. Got an espresso machine & took on the new hobby of creating latte art. Got to be a part of a mastermind, UPWRD & my group started our own mastermind. Photographed Jada Pinkett Smith Went surfing again and boxing for the first time Daniel and I went to our first all-inclusive in Punta Cana. Visited Allison twice in San Diego & we got to see a bunch of State & National Parks including Big Sur, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, & Joshua Tree! Hosted lots of Coffee Fam Dinners at my house. It's been fun having a thing we do every week with some friends! Now I'm going into the new year with new goals and ALL (client + personal) editing DONE! • Overall, last year was an awesome year, definitely one of the best yet. Even though it started out rough, losing one of my closest family members, my Uncle Leroy (he was like my grandpa). I'm blessed to know (after the fact) that my grandma was finally able to get the Lord through to him, even if it was the very last moment of his 93 years of life. • What was your best memory of 2019?
Swipe to see my Top 9...⠀ •••⠀ So many great memories in 2019!!⠀

If anyone wants to hang out on the beachI'm definitely planning to go back to see @allisondavisweddings there!! I don't have dates yet if you want to join me for a shoot there!⠀ ••• What are your travel plans or dreams for 2020? I’d love to know where you’re going!!
