She attended the AUCD Conference where she met with national disability leaders, then met with Nebraska Members of Congress as well as officials from the US Department of Transportation. She talked about her genetic disorder and the challenges she has using metro buses, the effect of a lack of curb accommodations for wheelchair use, and other obstacles in transportation helps lawmakers understand the scope of the issue.
