Moor | fingering/sock/4ply is a buttery soft non-superwash merino wool that has just a little bit of woolly body (thanks to the lack of superwash treatment). I’ve dyed a range of tonal, semi-solid shades from palest silver grey through to steely deep blue with a smattering of mustardy gold and vibrant pimento in between...   • I resisted the temptation to cast on ‘The Green’ using 4ply held with mohair/silk and fudge the sizing/maths... I know, the urge was strong, I don’t know how I mustered the willpower. 😆 I’ve now dyed some gorgeous ultra fine merino lace to match the skeins of Bray | Lace in ‘slowly diminishing’ that I’d purloined from the sale rail... Now, having just cast on #thetwigssweater and an #altitudeshawl I really should hold off winding this into cakes... whaddya think? Quite serendipitously I happened to pull this blood-red non-superwash merino out of the dye pot this afternoon ❤️ I love this yarn... it’s a standard 4ply weight, it’s got a great twist, a really nice woolly ‘bite’ and it produces amazing saturated semi-solids that make me want to knit *all* the things. Anyway, I’m not sure quite why it’s taken so long to dye it for the shop but it will be making its debut next week.
