“that was her magic, she could still see the sunset, even on those darkest days..” - @atticuspoetry Sometimes someone else’s words perfectly describe what I’m feeling when I reflect back on my experience with my couples. Sometimes it all comes together and I just let it be. ❤️
I love when my couples choose to include details about their love story into their wedding. Holly and Tim did just that. Parked right outside their wedding ceremony was a bright orange jeep. This was the first joint purchase these two young loves bought together, at 15. They would spend the next decade restoring this jeep together. It was also a project that Tim and his Father spent a lot of time on together. This bright, beautiful jeep not only an amazing piece of their story, it now serves as a memorial to Tim’s father. It truly was a beautiful detail of their story!
Every couple I photograph has a story. They may think it’s a “simple love story” but there are always details that inspire me. Maybe it’s a qualifying event in their history that speaks to me, or maybe it’s a simple gesture during our session that captivates me. There is a lot about these two that I adore. But the thing that has stuck with me of the months of planning is how quietly and fiercely they love each other. The small things matter and they are ALWAYS thinking of the each other. Today they go from high school sweethearts to husband and wife and I can’t wait to capture it. There will be no rain, only sunshine (and welcomed warm puffy clouds) because that’s what their story deserves. Happy wedding day Holly and Tim! . . . . . . . . . . #engaged #engagement #engagementsession #fineartweddingphotographer #destinationphotographer #thedailywedding #isaidyes #smpshareyourstory #theknot #theknotpennsylvania #thatsdarling #marthaweddings #bridetobe #stylemepretty #shesaidyes #soloverly #poconosweddingphotographer #poconosedding #scrantonweddingphotographer #nepaweddings #scrantonengagementphotographer #howheasked
Everytime I see this photo I remind myself of this quote by @atticuspoetry “Love her, but leave her wild.”
We’re spending every minute of summer soaking up sun and enjoying the calm before the storm of fall! This little lady will be starting pre-k, I’ll be heading into my busiest season AND our house build will be in the thick of decision making!!! Send coffee, tissues and a very organized person to help me out 😝
Every Friday is “Mommy & Isla” Day. A day we take off of work and daycare and just spend the day going to the park, eating donuts, jumping around, singing...and just being present with each other. After watching the world this week, I’m feeling a little lost and overcome with sadness. Parenting such a bright, happy little girl in this world is turning out to be harder then I ever imagined. I just hope that she keeps loving fiercely, keeps smiling and saying hello to everyone she sees, keeps singing and dancing in line and to just keep shining bright. The world needs it now more then ever.
