Happy Valentine’s Day! ✨💖✨ Because all you need is love and cookies...
Bedside table vibes. A few of my favorite things 💖 What’s one must-have on your bedside? I love keeping my favorite perfumes there, so when I spray them a little also falls onto my pillow.
Sundays. I’m learning it’s so important to take some time out to recharge and relax... even if it’s just for a 15 minute face mask. I love natural skincare and this is one of my favorites, it’s a Dead Sea Mud Mask from @aspenkaynaturals. (Side note, this isn’t a sponsored post - I just like to share great things with you). I often search the most popular products on Amazon to find new things to try and first discovered their organic Charcoal & Dead Sea Mineral Soap (which is the # 1 Soap on Amazon) and then tried this mask. I’ve found them both great to use and they’ve really freshened up my skin 👌🏼
This sunset on my walk 🙌🏼 || The start of a new year is a beautiful time to reflect and be very intentional about creating a life with meaning, purpose and connection. This has been on my mind and in my heart lately, and one of my goals is to create a space through my blog and social media that fosters authenticity, vulnerability and real conversation. ❤️ On the blog (link in profile) I’m talking about one of the practices that really helps me stay present, grateful and genuinely connected to my true self and other people. It’s called mindfulness. I am sharing how to practice this, along with six steps to guide you. I’d love to hear YOUR thoughts and whether mindfulness is something you try to be aware of or whether it’s something you’d like to work on too. When life gets busy, it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and sometimes lose sight of what matters most to you. Last year, I started attending the School of Philosophy, it’s a global organization so whether I am in New York, Los Angeles or Australia, it’s easy to attend. I quickly learned that a key aspect of practical philosophy is mindfulness. Practicing mindfulness has a number of benefits, including the ability to become more connected to not only ourselves, but also the people and world around us. Mindfulness can help us understand situations with enhanced clarity, truly connect more with others, respond to difficult circumstances better and be more resilient in work or home life. As “connected” as we appear on the surface with social media and technology, there’s nothing that compares to real meaningful, mindful connection with people and the world we live in. It’s so easy to become disconnected and live life on auto-pilot. Over the last few weeks, aligned with re-clarifying my intentions for the new year, I’ve tried to become more mindful through simple acts. I’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences and tips too!
Love shopping the January sales, but you work for it.
