@baetisandstones and @vanschyndel spend a chilly, calm morning on Pyramid Lake targeting lacustrine Lahontan Cutthroat Trout. The largest of the cutthroat trout species (reaching and potentially exceeding weights of 40 pounds), these behemoth fish nearly went extinct in the late 1900s as a result of dams, water diversions, grazing, over harvesting and non-native fish introductions.
