This is Carly, our Fundraiser of the week. 9-year-old Carly has managed to raise a fantastic £740 in sponsorship money for cutting and donating her hair. Thanks so much, Carly. You're awesome! Carly donated her hair a few weeks ago before this terrible crisis gripped the world and our charity has had to temporarily stop taking hair donations. We will, however, need those donations from you in the future, and our wig referral team are as busy as ever. It is thanks to the kindness and generosity of Carly and you, our amazing supporters, that we are able to continue to give hair & hope to children and young people who have lost their hair through illness, plus funding vital research into childhood cancers. It costs £550 to make a real hair wig, we are therefore reaching out to you to please continue to support us and fundraise for LPT. We have come up with some suggestions and we will be sending prizes to thank you for your continuous support: 💜 We'd love to share your progress photos on our social media channels - Send us photos of your ever-growing ponytails, your bad hair days, or your extra-long hairstyles. 💜 We fully understand that some of you have already cut your hair and we're asking you to hold off sending it to us for now and instead store it safely. How about a creative project with the kids, decorating your storage boxes, envelopes or parcels? We'd love to see photos. #LetItGrow #KeepGrowing
This is the smile of a VERY happy LPT wig recipient! Seven-year-old Daniel has Alopecia and recently had a wig fitted and styled at the Craig Hubert Hair Salon in Chelmsford, Essex. Daniel's mum told us that he was particularly keen to show his school friends his new hairstyle, and we can understand why - you look awesome Daniel! His mum Katarzyna said he was delighted with his new hairstyle. Thank you so much for your great help, she said. It will help us a lot. The huge need for wigs hasn't gone away despite these troublesome times we are facing as a society. The Little Princess Trust cannot currently take hair donations but we need our supporters more than ever, to be able to continue to help children and young people like little Daniel, here. #HairAndHope 💜 🙏
Thanks to you, our amazing supporters, we are able to give hair & hope to young people like Heather, by providing a beautiful real hair wig to restore confidence, and by funding vital research into finding kinder treatments for #ChildhoodCancer. Best wishes to you Heather. We thank you all for your continued support during this difficult time, and we'd like to remind you of the young people who have benefitted from your kindness and generosity, like lovely Heather. We may not be able to take your hair donations right now, but we encourage you all to continue to fundraise for LPT and keep us updated with your hair growing progress. Please #LetItGrow.
