great to be back in Italy after many years and to be shown the archive/studio of the late great Massimo Osti by his very fine son Lorenzo. His father being the creator of Stone Island, CP Company and other brands. The green poncho is apparently the very first item of Stone. Looking forward to working in the studio for winter 19 collections 🤞. Many memories of selling all his brands as a teenager in the 80’s in a London store called Woodhouse
RePost of a snap by our friend @neilsummers_ of the awesome @propermag with our Ventile Rip Stop #ructote
Offer lasts through to 2018. Our new small things; Sunnies & EyeGlass Case and Coin & HeadPhone Purse were made using Chromexcel strip, offcuts of the beautiful high end Cordovan leather from Horween and were made at the wonderful KnickerBocker Manufacturing Co in Brooklyn New York. Illustration of our new DocFolio by our house artist @instachrissharp Christopher Sharp. See our website jplc.com for more...
Nice post-RePost of Lauren from @ponytailjournal still getting good use out of our RucTote and making it look so nice with her friends here from @aroommodel 👍💪
A snap at our factory in CT. The wooden looking panels are our Courier Ruc Case “cutting dies” working there with our normal Horween full grain analine leather
a great shot of the internals of our Aviator bag by my talented friend @willandersonphoto , we made many prototypes and development to really get the internals and function/ design working from an aesthetic as well as practical point of view and apparently (according to the makers in CT) it was the most “engineered” item they’d ever made. So much so they refused to make it anymore 😂
a swipe through of some key looks at the JPLC/AK-CLUB bi annual fashion show in Shanghai for SS18 Shanghai Fashion Week. I used a lot of my own vintage army bags as props but designed new ones along with all the clothing concept and design. Many interesting events were taking place this time during SFW including a C.F:D.A. guest event and an excellent local event called LabelHood, where it was great to see the new younger generation of Chinese fashionistas dress so stylishly & fearlessly!
Flick through if you have a mo.....Opened last year and finally looking healthy our AKCLUB/JPLC concept-house, archive museum, clubhouse, design HQ, meeting and event location. It's in a lovely part of Shanghai's former French Concession on Changle Lu in an old European style 4 story house. AKCLUB is retail only and sells solely in China currently so our Instagram presence is limited as different local social media networks are used in China. Most of the JPLC range is carried throughout. We will be having our runway show Oct 17 during Shanghai Fashion Week.
Yours truly shot by the highly talented @raymondpatrickglobal for #condenastraveller for a feature on a New York day. I was sporting our sand #ructote and we were in #tribeca some years back, a lot of fun
Nice shot of our #aviatorbag by our friends at #offthecuff and to quote them in their post as luddite here at jplc seems to lose the caption when he reposts ...is such a unique and functional day bag that we look for reasons to put it to use, part document case, part day bag, part folio 🙏
fashion-week SS18 casting, we designed this outfit and recycled fully from a military parachute.
#respost @offthecuffstyle using @repost.app our new #docfolio
Repost, my same red Ortlieb panniers got me through 10 NYC years. We consider Ortlieb the best technical bag brand out there and a huge inspiration to JPLC. #ortleib #messengerbag #pannierbag #waterproof #ortliebusa
Styling and art directing a fallwinter 18 shoot with the inspirational Mr Nikolaj Coster Waldau of Game Of Thrones and #undpgoodwillambassador on a glacier in the beautiful Iceland. A little snippet of my Ruc Tote in there for good measure. That's a local mountain rescue guide in red making sure we don't fall down a bottomless crevice
An old military item I picked up many decades ago, always wanted to achieve this leather aging and rivet construction look with JPLC. This was also the color reference I used when developing JPLC tan color leather with Horween. Swiss military. Great clasp too
A lovely image of our ructote by @handbagprof thank you for posting, I hope you're enjoying it!
Now available on http://jplc.com/accessories/ a few small things finally.... Our Sunnies & Eye Glass Case, black Horween Chromexcel® leather made at the wonderful Knickerbocker Mfg Co in Bushwick, NY. Using offcuts of the esteemed Cordovan leather from Horween. It looks pretty simple but it took me and Dan (KMFG) a long time to really get the shape suitable to fit both eyeglasses and sunnies and to have that width and 3D ness’. Inspired by a 1950‘s synthetic optician eyeglass case that came with a pair of vintage ray-bans I purchased years back . The leather ages and patinas very nicely and also provides good protection for your item. We also made a Coin Purse in the same leather which works well for headphones. Designed and Made in U.S.A.
Now available on http://jplc.com/accessories/ our new DocFolio Zip-Around Portfolio Document and Tablet Holder in full-grain aniline Horween leather with superior faux suede Alcantara Lining (used in Formula 1 racing cars amongst other high end applications). Inspired by vintage military leather map-cases, great for stowing inside a bag or as a stand alone piece. The DocFolio has an open leather patch pocket with pen holder and a spacious zip away pocket for safely stowing valuables. Leather is around 5oz which is light enough to give flexibility (it’s not rigid) but thick enough for good protection. Designed and made in U.S.A. Zips YKK U.S.A.
