Recognize these students and campus? We are celebrating 15 years of being a charter school and all California charter schools are public, free, and open to all. But most importantly, we put kids first. Let's redefine what it means to attend a public high school. #DiscoverCharterSchools
Congratulations to the AHA Intramural Flag Football 2018-19 Champions!
Salma Tarzi, GHC senior and ASB president, was honored in the annual Granada Hills Holiday parade along with student body presidents from other local high schools. The theme was Holidays of the Future and we join the community in saluting these young leaders of tomorrow!
A drizzly lunch time! ☔️
This holiday season, the GHC Robotics team is spreading STEM cheer by building a stage for LEGO robots and donating them to children in local hospitals. ❤☃️🌲
After graduating from Granada in 2013, I went to CSUN for college. While there, I joined the student Taiko (Japanese Drumming) ensemble after seeing them perform. I didn't have any musical or percussion experience, but they didn't require any so I thought, why not? I ended up being a member for my entire college career and served as a director for two years. It was the perfect combination of performance group, social club, and workout class. That's me on the right in the photo! John Teves, Office Assistant #MeetTheStaffMonday

Granada has and always will do what is in the best interest of our students. Being a charter school enables us to keep bureaucracy out of the picture and instead focus on serving our students and our community! #DiscoverCharterSchools
Wood you believe us if we said not one, but TWO teams of GHC students placed at this year’s Santa Cruz Forestry Challenge? 😁🌲 Coming in 1st and 3rd, our students showed off their understanding of technical forestry knowledge. For example, senior Kevin Urrutia can be seen here using logger’s tape to measure the diameter of a redwood tree. We can’t wait to see how they do at the state finals near Yosemite National Park in April! Congratulations to all students involved!🌱🌳
Yesterday, AP Physics 1 students from Mr. Herr's 5th period class visited The Boring Company's test tunnel in Hawthorn. Aptly named, The Boring Company - which was started by Elon Musk - is boring tunnels under Los Angeles in an attempt to build a more efficient public transportation system. Aspiring engineers in the class saw innovative applications of physics that increase the speed of tunneling while reducing the cost.
