Bring on the week ahead.. Let's do this ladies and gents 💪
R U OK? Day is our national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone to ask, “Are you OK?” and to remember every day of the year to support people who may be struggling with life’s ups and downs.
Happy fathers day to all of the Dad's out there! Thank you for all the ways you go above and beyond. For being a pillar of strength for your families and for always doing everything you can for us! We love you!
Can anyone relate? We have some pretty amazing whitening specials that you don't want to kiss out on.. Book through our online portal or call the friendly Smile Factory girls for more info
Next up ~ When I’m booking your next maintenance appointment, I ask you if you’d like to pop it in your phone instead of just automatically writing it on my card. Again, that’s potential for my 3 shifts x 9 patients over 50 weeks = 1,350 cards you are not contributing to recycling by simply adding your appointment into your phone calendar.
To continue on with #plasticfreejuly and #choosetorefuse single use products; these items weigh in so heavily throughout the medical fields. The second way I am reducing waste is that when you see me, I don’t have my patients rinse, saving on both a cup and a tissue per patient. In saying that, certain situations and procedures are a must (or if you ask to rinse), I do pop a cup and tissue out. Again, I work 3 shifts a week and can see 9 patients per day, x 50 weeks = potentially, thats 2,700 less cups and tissues going to landfill yearly.
To kick off sharing my ways of reducing single use products, I’m going to start with what I use to clean your teeth. I clean your teeth using the Airflow Prophylaxis Master (and I’m looking forward to doing a post on this machine shortly). I am extremely grateful to work in a practice with a boss who invests in the latest technologies, that also results in me no longer using two single use products. I work 3 shifts per week and see 9 patients per day, x 50 weeks = 1,350 prophy cups AND 1,350 dishes now not being added to landfill each year.
