The difference between Business and Consumer connection
You can connect your Instagram account with LightWidget in three ways using a:
- Business connection with Instagram Login,
- Business connection with Facebook Login,
- Consumer connection.
Using one of the business connections enables more widget-creator options. Below, you can find more details about each connection’s requirements.
Business connection with Instagram Login.
The Instagram account you want to connect to your user account must be a Business or Creator Instagram account.
Connecting your Instagram account using this connection method will redirect you to the Instagram website.
Connecting your Instagram account using this connection method will redirect you to the Facebook website.
With a business connection, all widget creator options are available.
Business connection with Facebook Login.
The Instagram account you want to connect to your user account must be a Business or Creator Instagram account. You must also link this Instagram account to the Facebook page.

With a business connection, all widget creator options are available.
Consumer connection.
This method allows you to connect any Instagram account, but it’s primarily suitable for personal accounts. When you link your account, you will be redirected to the Instagram website.
Some widget creator options are unavailable when selecting a consumer connection. For example, you cannot display the number of likes and comments or your profile photo. Some of the widget header options and lightbox settings are also not available.
